Meeting Logistics

Because of the expected large attendance at the 2016 US-IALE meeting, activities will be held at the Renaissance Asheville Hotel as well as the Four Points Sheraton Hotel located directly across Woodfin Street.  When crossing the street, please use the crosswalk at the intersection of Woodfin Street and Market Street (just west of the hotels).

Full-day workshops on Sunday and half-day workshops on Tuesday will be held in rooms on the first and second floors of the Renaissance.

Registration and Sunday Reception will take place in the Registration hallway adjacent to the Renaissance main lobby.

Posters may be hung up immediately upon arrival Monday in the combined Windsor Ballroom (Renaissance first floor), where the Poster Session will be held on Monday evening.  Posters must be taken down and removed by Tuesday noon!  Starting Wednesday morning, the separated Windsor A and Windsor B rooms will be reclaimed and set up for two additional oral presentation sessions.

The Grand Ballroom (Renaissance first floor) will be used for Plenaries and lunches, as well as four sessions in A, B, C1 and C2.  Ballroom sessions will have 10 chairs around circular tables, but chairs can be shifted as necessary to view presentations.  Room dividers will be used to separate Ballrooms A, B, C1, and C2.  Separated Ballroom rooms will only be used during the late afternoon presentations on Monday and Wednesday.

The Wolfe, Vance and Vanderbilt rooms on the first floor of the Sheraton hotel across Woodfin Street will be used for three sessions on Monday afternoon and two sessions during the remainder of the meeting.

Top of the Plaza on the 12th floor of the Renaissance will be used for oral presentation sessions throughout the meeting.

A Speaker Ready Room will be available in the Eagle room (Renaissance 2nd floor) for practicing talks throughout the meeting.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we try to accommodate an unusually large attendance at the conference!
